Fund Description
EcoE II provides expansion capital to small community-based businesses that encourage the sustainable use of natural resources, support livelihoods, mitigate climate change and protect environmental services.
Fund Mission
Rapid growth of the global economy has accelerated the degradation of the Earth’s most important asset: the environment. Increasing poverty and challenges arising from climate change further threaten the planet’s ecosystems. Supporting businesses that promote the sustainable use of natural resources and help ensure their long-term viability through creating opportunities for local communities is imperative. For more than a decade, EcoEnterprises Fund has provided the growth capital needed by small community-based sustainable companies to achieve scale, and in doing so, generating lasting results which help address the critical environmental and social challenges of our time.
